Rising Heating Bills

Even before Hurricane Katrina hit the U.S. Gulf Coast, oil prices were on the rise. About half the homes in the Boston area use oil for heat.

With the rising price of fuel, families across New England are undertaking various methods to lower energy costs over the winter. From purchasing cars with better gas mileage, using other forms of heating, and even conducting energy audits, New Englanders are trying everything to combat rising prices.
