StoryCorps: Boston

Tom Lee is the son of Chinese immigrants who left Shanghai after World War II.

For this edition of StoryCorps in Boston, he asks his mother, Kin Ping Lee, about how she and his father met and immigrated to the United States.

StoryCorps is a national project to instruct and inspire people to record each others' stories in sound. The organization has permanent and mobile sound recording booths around the country, designed to inspire common people to record the stories of their lives.
