From Brookline Boy to “It” Boy
BOSTON, Mass. — Around this time last year, we talked with the little-known comic and writer John Hodgman of Brookline about a live show he did for his hometown’s 300th anniversary.
Since then, Hodgman has published a successful book, he’s landed a regular gig on The Daily Show, and he’s wound his way into America’s collective consciousness as one of the guys in ads for apple computer. John Hodgman plays ‘the PC.”
So how does a struggling writer become something akin to a cult celebrity in less than twelve months? WBUR’s Sean Cole has the story.
The audio for this story will be available on WBUR’s web site after 10 a.m. on December 26th.
