Weathering Longfellow's 200th

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was born 200 years ago today. The poet gave us 'Paul Revere's Ride' and 'Hiawatha' and other oft-quoted verse. Now Longfellow's fans are marking his birthday with readings and concerts across the country.

As well, there's a novel effort called 'The Longfellow Poetry Forecast.' WBUR's Andrea Shea delves into the rhyme and reason.

This program aired on February 27, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
