Evidence Backlog at MA Crime Lab

Massachusetts may take many months and millions of dollars to comb through the backlog of evidence at the State Police Crime Lab.

A state-commissioned report released yesterday identifies about 16,000 pieces of biological unexamined evidence and blames management for the problem. Here's WBUR's Bianca Vazquez Toness with more on the story.

This program aired on July 17, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
