Credit Squeezes College Loans

The credit crisis is hitting home for Massachusetts families in various ways. Now, add to that the challenge of paying for college.

Some lenders are uncertain how they'll continue offering low-cost loans in the coming school year.

To talk about how the credit crisis is affecting the college loan industry, WBUR's Bob Oakes turns to Thomas Graf. He's the executive director of the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, or "MEFA."

Audio for this story will be available on WBUR's web site later today.

This program aired on March 5, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
