Governor Deval Patrick is counting on a group of economists and business leaders for advice and recommendations.

The mission of the new Council of Economic Advisors is to recommend ways to keep Massachusetts competitive by developing the state's economy.

Its chairwoman is former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston president, Cathy Minehan, who joins WBUR's Bob Oakes.
