WBURWomen’s Pro Soccer Is Back In Boston — Again

BOSTON — Women’s professional soccer is back — and so are the Boston Breakers.

Six years ago, their league, called the WUSA, folded because it wasn’t making enough money. Now, the soccer sorority is reborn and kicking again as the WPS, or Women’s Professional Soccer.

The Breakers open their season this weekend with a game in California. WBUR’s Bill Littlefield recently stopped by a team practice and has this report.
