WBURElderly Driver Causes Crash In Natick

Published July 3, 2009  UPDATED 6:59 PM

BOSTON — It’s the latest in a string of car crashes caused by elderly drivers.

Officials say an 83-year-old woman drove her car through the front of a Natick liquor store this morning, pinning the 51-year-old cashier behind the counter.

The clerk, of Fannon’s liquor store on North Main Street, is said to have suffered minor injuries.

Authorities say the woman had a handicapped placard on her car, and did not remember what happened.
