The excuse about being a lame governor and implicitly saying she'd *have* to act like the worst of lame duck executives by "wasting millions of taxpayer dollars" and phoning it in and being a do-nothing is about the most spurious and truthless excuse for a course of action I've ever heard come out of a two-faced politician's mouth. As me dear sainted mudder always said, "Everyone believes that, stand on your head." But then, there's still enough Republicans who will believe anything that they want to badly enough that the party still actually exists.
