		<description>The MacArthur quote sounds like the parody slogan of Goldwater&#039;s &#039;64 campaign: &quot;Forward into yesterday!&quot;. The excuse about being a lame governor and implicitly saying she&#039;d *have* to act like the worst of lame duck executives by &quot;wasting millions of taxpayer dollars&quot; and phoning it in and being a do-nothing is about the most spurious and truthless excuse for a course of action I&#039;ve ever heard come out of a two-faced politician&#039;s mouth. As me dear sainted mudder always said, &quot;Everyone believes that, stand on your head.&quot; But then, there&#039;s still enough Republicans who will believe anything that they want to badly enough that the party still actually exists.</description>
