I found this poem to be very offensive, and unkind. It's really hard to make fun of someone that was feeling "assaulted". Getting thrown at purposely is not taken lightly when your livelihood and future well-being are at stake. Kevin Youkilis is admired by the Red Sox fans for being a passionate player, and giving the team his all, and sometimes that same passion can lead to this type of response. It's hard to have it both ways some time. This is also a player that has often gone out of his way for community service organizations. Yes, there were surely more professional ways of handling it, but it's not a situation that I thought someone should make fun of that is in a very safe (other than economically) work setting. I hope my response seems well thought-out - and reasonable. I picked an option other than throwing my "helmet" at you. A solid listener.
