It is time to get a balance state and put more Republicans in office. Look at the mess in Congress. The democrats there are all thugs. Barney Frank is a jerk. Nancy Pelosi is the biggest liar ever and Obama gave us change for the worse. Let's not even go to where Deval Patrick is. He is as bad as Obama. Kerry please if you love this state so much give some one else a chance. Independents do you give your votes to the Dems.this time . Please put some new people in.

why would Martha Coakley give up the AG job for a job of a few months at best, and if the appointment is after the filing date and Martha Coakley or Joe Kennedy file for the job, wouldn't that obviate the whole purpose of the amendment to the law that is designed to prevent an interim appointment from running.

If Gov. Patrick appoints a candidate to the position, when the seat is open wouldn't that violate the intent of the legislation, Ted K's wishes and the prior statements of Gov. Patrick.

I am a Democrat, but I'm an American first. When elected officials change laws just to keep their own party in power, they make a mockery of democracy. This is just as bad as Republicans redrawing district lines in states like Texas.

Haven't we had enough of the Kennedy dynasty in Massachusetts? After all, that seat has been held by a Kennedy for the last 57 years, if you count JFK's 8 years in the Senate.I don't believe that there has ever been so much hubris and entitlement from a political family to"own"a public office in the history of the United States. How does a public office in a democratic society become "owned" by one family? Why do so many people refer to this Senate seat as a "Kennedy seat"? It is appalling-these Kennedys think they are the Royal family of Massachusetts. Perhaps many Massachusetts citizens are unaware of how the Kennedys originally came into their money and power.Joe Kennedy, Sr. was a bootlegger during the Great Depression and a master manipulator of the stock market. Later on as ambassador to the UK during WWII he was pro-Nazi, a vicious anti-Semite, and believed that we should appease Hitler.

Barney Frank has already said he would not run for the Senate seat. His position in the House is a senior level, powerful slot he would be reluctant to leave.

Martha Coakley would be a wonderful candidate, but so would Ed O'Reilly who ran against John Kerry in the last Massachusetts Senate Democratic primary election.
