The Associated PressMass. Man Gets 18 Months For Armed Hot Dog Theft

WORCESTER, Mass. — A Massachusetts man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing a hot dog from a man as he sat under a tree at a city park.

Antonio Judd pleaded guilty Monday in Worcester Central District Court to charges including larceny from a person.

Police say Judd stole a hot dog from a man in Elm Park in Worcester in August after flashing what appeared to be a gun.

Police reports say Judd grabbed the hot dog from the victim and began to devour it, spilling mustard all over his shirt.

Police say when Judd was later arrested, he was carrying a pellet gun and pocket knife.

Records show Judd has been sentenced to prison at least three times for offenses including assault and vandalism.

Hopefully the hot dog thief will relish his time in prison with plenty of time to ketchup on his reading. In this system of justice, though, who’s the real weiner?

    N. Ballantine, you are terrific!

I am so glad the police managed to ketch up with this fellow. It sounds like he was a repeat offender. I am sure the prisoners might make minced meat out of this story and he’ll be on his way to hamburger heaven. I know, a weak attempt after your truly fabulous come-back!
