Like you I heard that poem, loved it, and haven't been able to track it down. I believe it was read by Bruno Gerussi, and written by Marc Strange. Maybe someone at CBC could find it!
Cheers!

Name of the man whose shot injured Plante and induced him to come back on the ice only if he wore the mask? He refused to retake the ice without his mask.

For about 20 years I have been trying to find a copy of an epic poem entitled "The last of the Bare Faced Goalies". I first heard it on a CBC broadcast in about 1772, as I was driving ftom Toronto to Montreal. I long thought it must have been inspired by Gump Worsley, but now believe it was another goalie who was called up to the Maple Leafs as a fill-in.

Any leads would be appreciated.
