UNH Poll Shows Coakley In The Lead, Capuano And Pagliuca In Statistical Tie For Second

Published November 22, 2009

BOSTON — A poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Centre published in this morning’s Boston Globe shows Martha Coakley ahead among people who say they are registered voters and intend to vote in the Democratic primary next month.

44 percent of those polled said they would vote for Coakley.

22 percent say they would vote for Mike Capuano. 15 percent say they would vote for Steve Pagliuca. The margin of error is 4.4 percent, which puts the two candidates in a statistical tie.

Alan Khazei is in fourth place. 6 percent of those surveyed say they would vote for him.

The poll was conducted from November 13th to November 18th. It surveyed 537 randomly selected voters who said they are registed, have a history of voting in Democratic primaries, and intend to vote in this primary.

  • Capuano is our Congressman and he has done nothing for us in his 10 years of office. It has even been impossible to receive a response from his office when trying to find out his position on anything. He would be better off forwarding calls to the two US Senators since he seemed to be just a puppet for them.
It is obvious he has called in all favors given his recent endorsements and I think there will probably be more to come. Please don’t be taken in by all of this. Mike Capuano is not the right person to have 1% of the Senate Votes. He just doesn’t have what it takes.
