Mass. Homeowners Facing Foreclosure Get Extension To Apply For Aid

Massachusetts homeowners facing foreclosure will have an extra three days to apply for some financial relief from the federal government.

The federal emergency homeowner's loan program has extended its application deadline to this Wednesday for up to $50,000 in mortgage assistance.

Rhonda Siciliano, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development is encouraging anyone who needs help to get in touch at findehlp.org or by calling 855-FIND-EHLP.

To qualify, homeowners must be at least three months behind on their mortgage due to lost wages.
