Democrat Elizabeth Warren says she's raised $3.15 million for her Senate campaign in Massachusetts.

Warren said in an email to supporters Monday that 96 percent of the contributions were less than $100 for the third quarter that ended Sept. 30. Most of the money was raised since she formally joined the race for the Democratic nomination in mid-September, her campaign said.

The consumer advocate and Harvard law professor did not say how much of the money was raised in Massachusetts.

Polls show Warren leading the Democratic pack.

Republican Sen. Scott Brown had nearly $10 million at the end of June. Democrats hope to oust Brown from the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's seat next year in what is expected to be one of the nation's marquee Senate races.
