The heavy, wet snow from the rare October storm caused massive power outages across the state. More than 650,000 customers were still without power early Sunday.

The storm broke early snowfall records, leaving 26 inches in Windsor and nearly 25 inches of snow in Plainfield. About one to three inches blanketed the Boston area.
