Analysis: Pats’ Game Against Broncos A Tougher Test Than In Past

BOSTON — It’s playoff time in Foxborough. The New England Patriots host the Denver Broncos Saturday night for an AFC divisional round match-up.

Here’s how Pats coach Bill Belichick, at a press conference Thursday, sees the game:

You know, I’m sure that they’ll have a couple new wrinkles for us — as they always do, and we’ll have to be able to handle those, you know, within the game, as well as all the other things that they’ve shown, so. They’re very well coached. They do a good job of utilizing their good personnel and they, they make it a tough one.

Will it be a tough one? NFL analyst Mike Reiss, who covers the Patriots for ESPNboston.com, joined Morning Edition Friday to preview the game.

Bill Belechik is the one who amazes us with his incitful analysis. HA!

He should be head of the CIA……he can talk without ever giving anything away.
Actually, what’s the point of asking him anything about the game in the first place?

Yeah, it’s called winning football games. If he wanted to become a celebrity he could take over for Matt Lauer on the Today show. Then get harrassed by the coffe clutch of Woman on the show.

We in New England are in our glory with a NO excuse Coach, and a winning record for the Red Sox, Pats, Celtics and even the Bruins have a decent team and we DON’T have a Bill Purcell type that makes it sound like its ALL about him!

what exactly do you want to hear?

I find that his being inscrutable is honorable. He doesn’t raise false expectations with false bravado. The team and the coach are obviously out to win and they know that there is a possibility to lose any given game. Go Pats.
