Jurors Partly Deadlocked In Mattapan Murders Trial

Jurors say they have a verdict on some counts in the case of two men accused of gunning down three adults and a toddler during a drug robbery in Boston, but are deadlocked on others.

The judge sealed the partial verdicts Monday afternoon and asked the jury to return Tuesday for a fifth day of deliberations. The jurors have told the judge they agree on 10 indictments, and are deadlocked over 9 others.

Dwayne Moore and Edward Washington each face four counts of first-degree murder. The victims were found on the streets of the city's Mattapan neighborhood in September 2010. A fifth victim was left paralyzed.

The case hinges on the credibility of the prosecution's key witness, Kimani Washington, who admitted to taking part in the robbery, but said he left before the shootings.
