2 Women Found Dead At Saugus School

Update at 5:10 p.m.: One of the two women has been identified as Donna Breau, 54, of Lynn. The other woman is believed to be a close relative of Breau.

The cause of death has not been determined, but investigators are characterizing the incident as a double homicide.

Update at 10:45 a.m.: The bodies of two women — one middle-aged, one elderly — were found today at Lynnhurst Elementary School in Saugus, an Essex County DA spokeswoman has told our Newscast unit.

The spokeswoman, Carrie Kimball Monahan, said there are signs of foul play and that homicide units are investigating.

The bodies did not have identification on them, Kimball Monahan said. Authorities are asking the public to contact Saugus Police or State Police to help in identifying the women by reporting any missing family or friends.

Kimball Monahan said the bodies were discovered at 6:45 a.m. by a school employee, and that no children saw the bodies.

There are multiple reports that the bodies were discovered on school grounds with a tarp nearby.

As we had previously reported, the school was cancelled for the day.
