Celebrations After Locals Freed In Egypt
It’s a day of celebration for family and friends of two Boston-area residents who’d been taken hostage in Egypt.
On Monday, their abductor released Lissa Alphonse, of Everett, and the Rev. Michel Louis, a pastor from Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. Both had been on a church trip, where an Egyptian tour guide was also kidnapped.
WBUR’s Delores Handy was in Dorchester when news came that Louis would be coming home.
