FOXBOROUGH — Shalrie Joseph scored two first-half goals in his return to Gillette Stadium and helped rally Chivas USA to a 3-3 draw with the New England Revolution on Wednesday night.

Joseph, sent by New England to Chivas USA (7-10-7) on Aug. 1., scored twice against the team he played nearly 10 seasons (2003-12) for and Miller Bolanos closed the scoring in the 47th minute.

Saer Sene had two scores and the Revolution (6-14-6) benefited from an own goal in the 11th minute. The draw extended New England’s winless streak to a franchise record-tying nine matches (0-7-2).

Trailing 3-0, Joseph got Chivas on the scoreboard when he converted Bolanos’ corner kick in the 23rd minute. His third goal of the season pulled the Goats to 3-2 a minute into first half injury time when he grabbed a pass from Juan Agudelo and fired a shot from outside the box that lodged itself into the upper corner of the far post.

Bolanos tied it in the opening minutes of the second half when he converted Casey Townsend’s pass from six yards out.

Sene opened the scoring in the 4th minute when he pounced on a misplayed ball inside the Chivas box and blasted it past goalkeeper Dan Kennedy.

The Revolution were gifted an own goal seven minutes later when Rauwshan McKenzie inadvertently tapped Kelyn Rowe’s cross into his own net.

Sene made it 3-0 in the 21st minute after he grabbed a ball Jerry Bengtson knocked away from Joseph, and Sene ripped a shot from distance off Kennedy’s mitts before it settled into the back of the net.

Chivas began its comeback two minutes later.
