N.Y. Cop Labels Another Aggressor In Student Killing

A retired New York policeman says he shot at another officer in 2010 because he believed the officer was "the aggressor" in the killing of a Massachusetts college student.

Former Mount Pleasant Officer Ronald Beckley was deposed last week in a lawsuit against Pleasantville Officer Aaron Hess.

Hess has acknowledged firing the shots that killed Pace University football player Danroy Henry Jr., of Easton, Mass., in October 2010.

He said he had to lunge onto the hood of Henry's car to avoid being run over and fired through the windshield to stop the driver.

He was cleared by a grand jury.

Beckley said he fired because he believed the person on the hood was the aggressor and was using deadly physical force.

Hess' lawyer said jurors will determine the truth.
