Now that Tuesday's election has come and gone, America is back where we started: Obama will return as president, Democrats will control the Senate and Republicans will control the House.

In the election's afterglow, many victors — and even some losers — are talking about a new spirit of compromise on Capitol Hill. But could that become a reality? And how much influence could the newly redistricted Massachusetts Congressional Delegation have in the newly elected congress?

Rep. Michael Capuano, of the 8th Congressional District, joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss the possibilities.

This program aired on November 8, 2012.
