1 Dead, 1 Injured In Roxbury Shooting

Boston police say one young man has been fatally shot and another seriously wounded in the city's Roxbury neighborhood.

Police Commissioner Edward Davis told reporters at the scene Wednesday afternoon that the 2:45 p.m. shooting was on a usually quiet street.

Davis said the victims, whose names have not been released, were about 20 years old.

He urged members of the public with any information about the shootings to come forward. He said there are no surveillance cameras in that area on Longmeadow Street.
