On Monday, President Obama began his second presidential term with the 57th inauguration ceremonies. Millions of users followed the festivities online and, among other things, used social media as a tool to participate. At the height of the ceremony, Twitter announced there were 27,795 tweets per second sent related to the inauguration, making it the most social inauguration in history.
