Sen. Warren ‘Disappointed’ In Filibuster Changes

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she’s disappointed Senate leaders weren’t able to come up with tougher changes to the filibuster rule that allows minority parties to bottle up legislation.

The Massachusetts Democrat had vowed to join with other Democrats to limit use of the filibuster — a move she said would help break gridlock in Washington by curbing the ability of Republicans to block votes.

Warren had said Senators who want to filibuster should be required to stand on the Senate floor and speak continuously instead of merely threatening to do so.

On Thursday the Senate’s top Democrat and Republican leaders agreed to more modest changes, however.

Warren said in a statement Thursday that she’s disappointed the changes aren’t more extensive, but added that “some change is better than no change at all.”

some changes is better than no changes? I’m disappointed warren became a god damned senator. We’ll she what she can do remember all her promises Lower education costs, she made $325,000 for one class, hypocrite…..

stop whining, john. Your guy lost. She is disappointed that she cannot do it all alone but has to work with the whole Senate. I agree with her.

Whining about all Warren’s campaign promises a week into her first term is jumping the gun and then some–I agree! But I’ve just written her a seriously “disappointed” letter myself–her ability to let go of her most crucial promise instantaneously, with a mild “disappointed,” is scary. The dominant party–hers–had it within their power for a couple of days to end the phony and unconstitutional “filibuster” of recent years through a simple majority and they balked. She should be angry–she should be inconsolable. What else does she think she can do, in a Senate no longer operating by democratic process? We do not have to calmly resign ourselves to disasters.

She should not overreact. This is just the beginning for her. Let her play poker for awhile.

Sen Warren is so much like Sen Reid and President Obama. They talk tough then they give away the farm. I am completely disgusted. I made the mistake of donating to her campaign. Never again!
