Men Linked To Arsons, Held Without Bail

Authorities are holding two men without bail in connection with a spate of two dozen arsons in southeastern Massachusetts in recent months.

Forty-five-year-old Mark Sargent, of Middleborough, and his 23-year-old stepson, Jean Marie Louis, were found at the scene of a fire in West Bridgewater Wednesday night.

Prosecutors say the two men may be responsible for setting fires in abandoned buildings in Quincy, Weymouth and other towns.

Both Sargent and Louis were arraigned in Brockton Thursday and a judge ordered them held without bail until a dangerousness hearing next month.
