I heard the news on ‘BUR this morning that there were no bananas north of Connecticut
and that police were handing out bread at the Memorial Drive Trader
Joes at the same moment I was headed to that exact supermarket! The store was deserted and all the shelves were bare except for
the meat fridge which contained unusually large cuts of what appeared to
be raw pork mixed in with bits of blue cloth. Well, actually, everything there looked completely normal except that over half the customers seemed to be carrying cardboard boxes of Charles Shaw. I bought 70 bananas and 20 loaves of bread (just in case) and came home.
