Former State Police Colonel Who Lead Criminal Investigation Into Bulger Testifies
ResumeBoston bookmakers will be on the witness stand in federal court Friday for the prosecution to testify that mobster James "Whitey" Bulger made them pay "rent" to do business.
On Thursday, retired state police Col. Tom Foley testified that he was blocked by the FBI when he tried to investigate Bulger. The defense tried to use Foley's testimony to ruin the credibility of three former Bulger gang assocaites who will testify as government witnesses against Bulger.
WBUR's David Boeri was at the courthouse, and reports on Thursday's developments.
