With the partial government shutdown moving into its fourth day, leaders of both political parties are blaming one another for the impasse.

President Obama accuses House Speaker John Boehner of cowing to extremists in the Republican Party. But Boehner says the president and his fellow Democrats are to blame for refusing to negotiate.

Steve Koczela, president of MassINC Polling Group, joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss who voters are blaming for the gridlock.

This program aired on October 4, 2013.
