Red Sox Take 2-Game Lead In ALDS

The Boston Red Sox are one win away from advancing to the American League Championship Series. The Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7 to 4 in Game 2 of their Division Series at Fenway Park Saturday night.

Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has a long postseason resume, but he had never hit more than one home run in a playoff game, until Saturday. Ortiz had two solo shots off Tampa starter David Price. Red Sox starter and winning pitcher John Lackey remembers facing Ortiz in the playoffs with the Angels.

“He's special" Lackey said after the game. "I like it a lot better on this side."

Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury added three hits, three runs, and a run batted in. Game 3 of best-of-five series is Monday in Tampa.

This program aired on October 6, 2013. The audio for this program is not available.
