Transportation Department Prepares For Callahan Closing

The state Department of Transportation is preparing major route diversions ahead of Friday night's closure of the Callahan Tunnel. Plans include rerouting motorists through the Ted Williams Tunnel, over the Tobin Bridge and along Route 1A.

Highway Administrator Frank DePaola joined WBUR's Morning Edition to talk about this project and the detours.
