Man Faces Arraignment In Boston Store Slaying

A Brockton man charged with gunning down a clerk at a Boston cellphone store faces arraignment in Superior Court.

Elosko Brown is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Suffolk Superior Court on charges including murder and armed robbery.

Authorities allege Brown shot 19-year-old Joseph Morante twice during a robbery inside the Roxbury iWorld Accessories store on July 31.

Prosecutors say Brown then aimed at Morante's head, but the gun jammed.

Morante, who was engaged to be married, tried to chase Brown but collapsed on the street and died at a hospital.

The 28-year-old Brown was arrested with the help of surveillance video. Brown has been held without bail since pleading not guilty at his district court arraignment.

His family and friends say police have the wrong man.
