BOSTON — Prosecutors say a Yarmouth man facing child pornography charges exchanged emails with another man about their sexual interest in children and took photos of young children at a Cape Cod beach.
Adam Polakowski is being held without bail by U.S. marshals pending a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday in U.S. District Court. He was arrested by agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at his home this week.
Authorities say the 45-year-old man came to the attention of law enforcement in August when they discovered that he had allegedly exchanged 36 emails with an Arizona man already targeted in a child pornography investigation.
The Boston Globe reports that Polakowski is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. It was not clear if he had a lawyer.
