Salisbury Police Issue Warning On Strong Heroin

Police in the northern Massachusetts town of Salisbury have issued a warning about a potentially lethal batch of heroin being distributed in the area after responding to two overdoses in one morning.

The police department said on Twitter that it had two medical calls for heroin overdoses Wednesday morning and urged all users to "immediately stop using the drug."

Police said the batch may possibly be coming from Lawrence. Neither of the overdoses in Salisbury were fatal.

Chief Thomas Fowler did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment.
