BOSTON — Connecticut health care officials are demanding a share of the $45 million in federal money given to Massachusetts to build a health insurance exchange website – saying its site functions, while Massachusetts’ site doesn’t.
The federal government hoped Massachusetts’ site could be shared with other New England states, but it’s been plagued by hundreds of technical problems.
But so far, no states have expressed interest in the faulty Mass. site, while Connecticut says several states are now looking at its site.
Massachusetts officials say the money wasn’t meant to be shared.
