BOSTON — Police say a body found Wednesday in Boston Harbor has been is identified as a 24-year-old man missing since early February.
Police said Thursday that Eric Munsell, a Boston University graduate who lived in Boston, was last seen Feb. 8 at a downtown bar. He had been celebrating his birthday with friends.
His body was found off Long Wharf near the North End neighborhood where he lived. A police spokeswoman said authorities previously searched in that area. She said his body was reported by someone walking near the water. She said an investigation of Munsell’s death is continuing.
Munsell was reported missing Feb. 9 when he did not show up for work as an engineer at General Electric. Authorities had said there was no activity on his credit cards and cellphone since he was last seen.
