Several Injuries Reported At Dennis Fire

A three-alarm fire at a Dennis condominium complex sent 13 people to the hospital, including some who jumped from second-floor windows to escape the smoke and flames.

The blaze at the 12-unit Seabreeze Condominiums was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Assistant Fire Chief John Donlan said in a statement that 11 people were transported to Cape Cod Hospital, and two others made their own way there. Among the injured were two police officers and two firefighters. Two of the injured residents were transferred to Boston hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Donlan says one woman in a wheelchair was rescued from her first-floor unit by a neighbor who pulled her out through a window.

Dozens of others were displaced.

The cause remains under investigation.
