Rockland Man Charged With Fatally Stabbing Wife

A Rockland man charged with fatally stabbing his wife is being held without bail.

Richard Langley, 56, pleaded not guilty to murder at his arraignment in Hingham District Court Thursday afternoon.

The Plymouth district attorney's office says police responded to calls of a stabbing at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived they found a woman lying in the driveway of a home suffering from an apparent stab wound with neighbors helping her.

The woman, 52-year-old Patricia Langley, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
