CHELSEA, Mass. — Police in a Boston suburb have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with an attack on a woman found severely beaten and partially clothed on a sidewalk.
Chelsea authorities say the victim was found outside a home on Chestnut Street at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. She was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she’s reported in serious condition.
Police charged Manuel Marroquin, who lives on Chestnut Street, with assault and battery. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
Authorities say the attack wasn’t random and it was not an incident of domestic violence. Police didn’t release a motive or any other details.
