Jeff Bauman and his fiancee, Erin Hurley, announced the birth of Nora Gail Bauman on the "Jeff Bauman --Boston Strong, True Patriot and Hero" Facebook page Monday.

"Everyone is happy and healthy!" the message says. Nora was born Sunday.

A photo shows the happy couple, with Bauman holding the baby.

An Associated Press photo captured an ashen and bloodied Bauman being taken away from the bombing scene in a wheelchair by rescuers. Bauman later described to police one of the two brothers accused of planting two pressure cooker bombs near the marathon finish line.

The 2013 attack killed three people and injured more than 260 others.

Bauman's memoir, "Stronger," was published in April, a year after the attack.
