Forecast: Chance Of Showers And Heavy Downpours

We do have the chance of showers again Wednesday and while not all of us are going to see showers, some of us will see a heavier downpour. All of this is due to a cold front slicing through New England, but eventually the front will move far enough away to cut down on the rainfall.

Humidity has been high the past few days, but is going to start to tumble Wednesday and really dry out for the weekend if the upper flow turns enough to bring Canadian air back to the region.

It looks like Thursday afternoon, as an upper level disturbance passes, a few more showers can pop-up. But, interestingly enough many of us will end up dry through this entire showery period.

The weekend is looking amazing with abundant sunshine and warm air. There won't be much humidity at all in the air, so you can likely sleep with the windows open and enjoy the dry air.

As we enter week two of August we have yet to have an official heat wave in Boston. It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that we make it through the summer without one, but there is still plenty of time left for it to happen. Stay tuned.
