From end-of-season collapse to full-season disappointment to World Series championship to last in the American League East, again: The past four Red Sox seasons have offered fans a little bit of everything, for better or worse.

Whether the team is winning or losing, Henry Mahegan enjoys the game. The Charlestown High School civics teacher is a fan, but he's also a big part of the Fenway experience. Last year he was chosen to be one of the ballpark's public address announcers. Mahegan says his inaugural season behind the microphone was incredible, but he also found plenty to appreciate this year.

On Sunday afternoon, the Red Sox conclude the season with a game against the Yankees, and before taking his place in the booth one last time in 2014, Mahegan checked in with WBUR's Sharon Brody to reflect on the year.

This segment aired on September 28, 2014.
