Forecast: Cooler, But Not As Cold As Weekend Looks

A cold front passed through the area overnight and cleared out skies. Our 70 degree weather is now over for a while, and although we have a warming trend sometime next week, colder weather is what you’ll be talking about this weekend.

Thursday is a nice late October day with highs in the 50s. It will feel cooler than yesterday for sure, but with the sunshine it will be a nice day to be outside.

The nice weather continues Friday with highs in the lower 50s and an increase in the cloud cover in the afternoon.

If you are heading out for trick or treating with the kids, then you might want to bring an umbrella as there could be a few showers Halloween night.

These showers can turn into a steady rain for a few hours Saturday and with temperatures only in the mid 40s it’s a great day to stay inside and read a book or hang out in front of the fire.

Sunday brings a return to some sunshine, but with wind and cold temperatures it’s going to be a very wintry feeling kind of day.

A storm will be developing late Saturday and moving into Nova Scotia on Sunday. Currently, the track of the storm will take it far enough off to the east to prevent a direct hit. This could still change, but the odds are increasingly likely the storm will miss the region.

As the storm becomes stronger in Canada, winds will increase on Sunday and some winds could be strong enough for some scattered power outages along the coast, especially over Cape Cod.

Dry weather next week will continue with a warming trend. Have a great day!
