Forecast: Chilly Day With Early Morning Snowfall

Cold weather with a bit of snow in some areas this morning, but the trend is going to be for drier weather this afternoon with a bit of sunshine. Temperatures will be very wintry only in the upper 20s in the Worcester hills to lower and middle 30s along the coast.

Sunshine should attempt a comeback from west to east during the afternoon, but the clouds will hold longest along the coast and areas north of Boston.

Overnight temperatures are going to fall into the teens and 20s. This is really cold for the end of November, but not record cold, that's 11 in Boston. As well back in 1990, it hit 74 on this day.

Tomorrow is bright and mostly sunny, but continued chilly. Highs reach the low to mid 30s. This is more typical of late December cold, not late November.

As milder air moves north Saturday night there might be some light precipitation in the form of snow or freezing rain, but this won’t be widespread and might not even happen.

Sunday is a much more comfortable day with highs in the lower 50s. There will be a blend of clouds and sunshine after early morning clouds depart the area. Monday continues seasonably mild and dry before a brief shot of cold for Tuesday.

Today: Snow, mostly north of Boston, with up to an inch of accumulation in northern Essex and Middlesex Counties with highs from 28 to 34.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with unseasonably cold lows between 16 and 23.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 30s.

Sunday: An early snow or rain shower. Then becoming partly sunny and milder with highs around 50 degrees.

Monday: Partly sunny with highs between 50 and 55.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 30s.
