Worcester Police Seek Suspect In Weekend Double Shooting

Worcester police are still looking for the person responsible for a weekend shooting that sent two victims to the hospital.

The victims, ages 19 and 21, were shot Saturday afternoon while sitting in a car.

They told police a man approached their vehicle, opened the passenger side door and demanded their belongings. The victims sped off but the suspect fired as they drove away.

They drove themselves to UMass Medical Center, and hospital employees notified police. The victims, whose names were not made public, are expected to survive.

The suspect is described as a black male, early to mid-20s, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.
