Police: Worcester Woman Killed Driving Wrong Way On Highway

State police say a 39-year-old Worcester woman has died after hitting two other cars, one head-on, while driving the wrong way on Interstate 190 southbound on Saturday night.

Police on Sunday identified her as Jeanette D. Adams.

Police said people in the two other cars have non-life-threatening injuries from the Saturday evening crash, though one person was seriously hurt.

The crash happened at about 7:40 p.m. when Adams' 2015 Nissan Versa clipped a Chevrolet Trailblazer, then collided head-on with a Volvo station wagon.

Police said the Volvo driver was taken by helicopter to a Worcester hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The Chevrolet driver also was taken to a hospital.

The highway was closed for two hours while police investigated.
