Man Fatally Shot In Roxbury Early Thursday Morning

Boston police are investigating a fatal shooting in Roxbury that occurred early Thursday morning.

According to a statement from the Boston Police Department, officers responded to a report that shots had been fired in the area of 56 Holworthy Street in Roxbury around 4:40 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, officers found a male victim in his early 30s suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not identified the victim and no arrests have been made.

This is the city's 22nd homicide this year.
